Brief outline

The following diagram is an approach to the building blocks of Lixoo. Basically, both the engine and the game development tools use a common set of funcioanlity that is bundled in the Lixoo Runtime Library (LRT in short). The LRT itself uses other libraries:

• Input and low-level graphics are handled by SDL, the Simple Directmedia Layer.
• Scripting is handled by the embeddable Lua scripting language.
• XML parsing tasks are accomplished by Expat.
